Queer Heartache Video Release

It's Valentine's Day!
As many of you know, I am all about love in all forms: self love, partnered love, friend love, family love, spiritual love, community love, and nasty love. And if you've seen my show in the last year you know I always tell a story of speed dating on Valentine's Day in New York City and the adventure I had as a queer person trying to fit into a culture that I've always tried so hard to resist. I'm finally releasing a video of it taken at St. Olaf's College last fall. Enjoy and please pass it on to anyone you know who might need a little laugh and love this week.

Hi Friends,

As November rolls around, I begin my journey on a tour where I participate in many Trans Day of Remembrance events.

Trans Day of Remembrance is a day where we remember trans and gender non-conforming folks we have lost to anti-trans violence and continue a dialogue on how to make the world a better place for people to express their genders. Seeing this better place is the work I dedicate much of my art to, so that we don't lose more people to anti-trans violence.

Last year, I joined GLAAD in making a video for the I Am: Trans People Speak Project, please check it out and post one yourself!

Next week, I head to Rutgers, Yale, Cal State Monterey Bay, and Washington University in St. Louis! Please tell your friends about the shows and join me!

If you'd like to bring my show to your campus, town, or venue please send a quick email!

And before I head out on the road, please take a moment to check out Sister Spit's Fundraising campaign to fund queer art across the country! I went on a life changing tour with them in 2011 and am proud to support their work!

Hope you're having a great fall and thank you so much for being on this mailing list, it means the world to me.
Aloha,
Kit
