I am really excited to be performing a piece this Saturday, August 11th at The Branded Saloon.  I am equally as excited to watch Melissa Li and The Barely Theirs and The Pushovers,  put on an excellent show.

Fundraising and Performing in the ViBE Theater Experience

Hi Friends and Supporters!

I am totally excited and honored to be helping raise money to support viBe Theater Experience, a non-profit performing arts/education organization that empowers teenage girls through the creation and production of original performances.

On August 2, 2012 we will be performing a benefit Talent Show at the well-known Triad Theater. We are humbled by the outpouring of support we have received already! Our last benefit production completely sold out, and we anticipate this show will do the same.

viBe Theater Experience is and organization that provides a safe space for girls (ages 13-19) to write, create and perform collaborative performances about real-life issues as they express their unique voices, foster meaningful relationships, take on challenges and gain the self-confidence to succeed personally, socially and academically.

I am delighted to put my talents to use for this amazing cause, as this group is very close to my heart. As more and more arts programs are cut this organization serves a vital need for our community. We need safe places for young women to be able to express themselves, not just as a creative outlet, but also as an emotional one. This is a venue for young women who need a place to let out anything they are feeling in a positive and constructive environment. Your donation, however small, gives them the tools and the space they need to do just that.
